Terraces at the fortress at Ollantaytambo, where in 1536, Hernando Pizarro and 70 Spanish soldiers lost a battle to the Incas. Of course, the Spaniards came back later with 4 times the men and forced an Incan retreat. Altitude: 2800m/9200ft
